Gang-gang cockatoo
My camera didn't have the zoom power to get up nice and close to this guy, but in the end I think that was quite lucky because the trees seem to frame it very nicely.
I used the word 'guy' deliberately because my wikipedia search tells me that female gang-gangs are a very drab grey colour. Just trying to pad out the entry a bit now, but apparently biologists treasure this bird for the excellent example of sexual dichromatism (males and females having different marking patterns) that it provides.
My second blip. Forty-three years of experience tells me that I won't be able to keep this up for long, but still committed at this stage.
