Daddy's Gonna Buy you a Dream to Build on...
Today we had lunch out (thanks Mam)
As we drove though Charing Cross, we spotted Colin and Justin heading into town for party, so we peeped the horn like mad and waved like loonies! Not sure if they seen us, but I tweeted to them, to let them know they were being stalked.
We got to the West End, and we had a good giggle over lunch; all three of us are really looking forward to Boy coming home and we laughed over his antics that we miss. And chatted over teen angst, and the joys that Tooli will have in the months to come.
I've really come to terms with the fact that my children are young adults now and are moving on out into the world. I can only hope that they remember all the things we've told them, and just be the best they can be at all times.
I remember when I was pregnant with Boy, 21 years ago - and we discussed what type of parents we wanted to be, we wanted to be firm and fair, be their friend, and guide, and speak to them on the same level always. And that in the most has been how it has been.
21 years has passed in a flash and it has been my absolute privilege to be their mother and friend, I adore them to bits, and I look forward to reverting to my immature and mental self, and embarassing them to pieces at University, in the sam eway my mother did to me.
