Little Miss all ready for ballet. In bunny slippers, as you do.

Katie has been up since 4.50am today. She obviously knows we have an exciting day ahead. Our friend Vicki is coming for the weekend. We're starting out taking her to her ballet lesson, then off to swimming. A picnic for lunch in the park (if the weather hold's, it's started to rain for the first time in ages) and then Katie, with us, is going to watch her first performance of a ballet. The Northern are doing their premiere of The Beauty and the Beast. Then after ballet, our new pool for the garden arrives! Just in time for the rain of course.

In other news, a baby book moment: for the first time this week, Katie is tall enough to trigger an automatic door.

In further other news, Katie yesterday invented a new sign of affection between us. The chin kiss. She asks for a normal kiss, and after she presents her chin for me to "kiss" it with my chin.
