Tussock Tales

Oh what a day. Off we went to the Museum of American History and on arrival got our bags searched. This is a whole lot better than getting x-rayed as I am in danger of radiation overdose what with the plane ride, The Holocaust Museum and who knows what to come. This is a very security conscious place but it was kinda fun to have this big burly guard guy with rubber gloves poking around in my bag. He didn't find anything of interest and didn't even pat me on the head. What a grouch!
Then shock horror there were thousands of kids. Yelling, shouting , laughing, running around and maybe getting educated but I doubt it. Man I would have hated to be there on a busy day. Tonight was stage two of the adventure as after tea we hopped on an After Dark tour and discovered that all the kids from earlier in the day had used their mobiles and called all their mates (do American kids have mates?) well maybe friends and these friends had called their friends and they had got on a bus and come to Washington picking up lots of additional kids on the way to join the After Dark tour. There was at least a ZILLION kids. Bloody Hell said R.
Frankly this image is a miracle of photographic skill and the help I contributed by barking (silently) at all the kids. Did it work?No but R prevailed and found an angle that was over all of the heads.
Of course Abe just sat there and got photographed. The poor guy was probably blinded by all the flashes.
Memo to A (entertainment director) Can we please go somewhere tomorrow that is kidless?
