Gordale Scar

We left Wray's Barn at 11ish and headed down to the Booths in Settle to get some things for a picnic. After a nice drive over to Malham we had our picnic by the stream at the start of the walk towards Gordale Scar. Then we set off up to the spectacular waterfall and the gorge that it has carved out. It was a lovely sunny day and perfect for seeing such things.

I had a train to catch back to Bristol at 3:40pm so we couldn't stay long but we had time for an ice cream back near the car. I said goodbye to Anne and Orla in the car park at Oxenholme. It feels weird not having been home at the weekend and then going straight back to Bristol for another week.
