purple smoke bush

Another hot day. I spent it sweltering in a greenhouse, up to my eyes in seedlings. The exhausting part of the season is here already.
I didnt have much time for photos today.

These are the opening leaf buds of Cotinus coggryia 'Royal Purple'.

With luck the good weather will last over the weekend.
