Alzina
Today was a day of two halves. The morning was taken up with work completing end of year PAYE returns (yawn) but in the afternoon I went for a pleasant walk to the Pic d'Alzina. A strange thing happened on the way which was worthy of a blip but Blipfoto nudity restrictions prevented it. I arrived at a belvedere where there is a beautiful view over the village and up the valley in the other direction. A bench has been thoughtfully provided but recumbent on this bench was an attractive woman sunbathing in what I can only delicately decribe as very scanty and improvised attire. What does an Englishman do in such circumstances? I walked around the bench (she made no effort to sit up and let me rest my weary legs), took a couple of shots, touched my hat and wished her good day. That seemed the best thing to do. Admirable sang froid I thought! The rest of the walk was uneventful but very beautiful. I have put a few more shots of Canigou here.
