Tired and Chuffed

Been a busy day from start to finish. No photos taken until after 23:00!!!!!

Just got in at 22:45 after a visit to The Lane to see Sheffield United cruise to a 4-1 win over poor old Chesterfield. Can't see them surviving in League One at all now - a real shame in my opinion, I have a bit of a soft spot for them and was chuffed to see them win at Wembley at the weekend

I took Jnr Snr, as there are only two days left of school until Easter break and she is always upset when I leave her at home on a school night to go and watch a match. She has just been on her first residential trip (just the one night) to a Youth Hostel where they looked at aspects of Invaders and Settlers. It looked and sounded absolutely fabulous talking to the kids and staff that went and the images on the school blog were ace. I was told that the girls in her room didn't sleep until about half midnight! Although she was one of the sleeping ones at that late hour, I thought another late night wouldn't hurt.....bad dad eh? After a quick trip home to grab some stuff after school, it was out to cubs before I picked her up and drove over the top to Sheffield.

Well, we saw Ched Evans (remember that name for Friday's Blip) score a hat-trick to take his season tally to 30 and, it tweets are to be believed, making the Blades the highest scoring team in the Football League. Nice. Totally worth it.

When we got back we saw that Mrs H must have popped into the swimming pool to check on lesson times for next term, as this badge and certificate were on my desk. Jnr Snr has been working towards her level 4 for what seems ages. She loves her swimming and works really hard at it, but is not a natural like her little sister. She was totally made up - a great way to finish an amazing day off before her head hit the pillow (took about 30 secs before she was asleep).
