Getting there

I've decided that I really have no imagination for some bits of the project. I procrastinate far too much, and today I just gave up and phoned a friend as they say (in this case my wife).

She had an idea, took some convincing on me, but now I know what she wants I can build that. But on my own, i'd still be scratching my head.

The question of the day was - where is the dishwasher going? In the end, it's going in this cabinet (the centre vertical has been cut out hence it looking like a big gap).

The biggest problem will be how tall the dishwasher is - 32.75" and I don't have to cut out the base. But the smallest (on budget) dishwasher we can get is 33.50"!

Tomorrow I'll cut out the base for the dishwasher and get that done. With any luck I can get on to rubbing the lower cabinets down tomorrow ready for refinishing.

The drywall is still going up....gees. The guy who is doing it is hopefully working late tonight to get it done (I'll do the mudding if needs be!) as he's away for a couple of days.
