Bathroom Simplicity
Following a year of planning, my fiance and I were finally married. Following the beautiful and relaxing honeymoon, was a very stressful move (in which we were carting along an unusually clingy toddler). For anyone who doesn't have children, this seems simple really...Pack up your stuff, tenderly unpack it all, and put it all away...Not so simple when you truly have to work around a child's nap and bedtimes!
But somehow I did it and I did it all myself, and I did it all in about a month's time! I love this apartment! Certainly, it has it's flaws...The toilet probably has the smallest pipes ever because I'm constantly plunging it! Imagine my surprise when what's supposed to go down just gets stuck...There are tiny cracks in the linoleum, the dishwasher isn't the greatest (although it sure beats cleaning out all those sippy cups by hand), and it's a real pain trying to hang something up on the cement fire-proof walls.
But I got the opportunity to really put something into a place, to create a room that causes you to relax and to feel at home right away. And I love every room!
This picture captures my favorite little corner where the wall meets the ceiling. The fishing net and little starfish and shells inside of it were used on the cake table on our wedding day, the driftwood was collected at a beloved beach and the sign says it all...
Sweet Simplicity.
