Adventures at Tufts Library
Sean is two days shy of his 2nd birthday here, monkeying around at the Tufts Library playground in Weymouth, MA.
When we pulled into the parking spot, he could see the playground from his window and he immediately said "paygownd' and started clapping his hands! He loves the outdoors and anywhere outside is a major adventure.
He took a few turns sliding down the slides and running back and forth across the little wiggly bridge when the ice cream truck pulled up. Sean danced a little and then pointed saying 'keem, keem?' (his word to indicate he'd like ice cream).
As we were standing in line, an older man was buying rounds for his grandkids and he asked how old Sean was, and so I told him he was going to be 2 in two days. So he bent down and pulled a golden dollar out of his pocket and gave it to Sean, saying "Now you give that to your mommy..." and then he looked up at me and said "Now mommy, don't spend that." I laughed and then the old man asked what Sean was having, and he proceeded to order him an ice cream sandwich, his treat! I thought it was very nice, and after Sean made a huge mess with the ice cream, we got to pick out a few books and head home.
A simple day in a simple town, but nothing more than this beautiful life is all I could ever ask for.
