Well, it's our final week in the building and file-gutting has reached fever pitch as this pile of recycling bags can testify. This morning there were two vans at the door by 10.30: one from Books Abroad and the other from a commercial shredding company. Within 30 minutes the first was loaded up with a mountain of boxes of books, stationery and equipment; the other had noisily shredded two packed containers of confidential papers.

If I'd been considering moving house, this would put me off.
