Give me sunshine
An extraordinary day - first long day because of the clocks going forward.
We walked the 20-mile stretch of the Southern Upland Way from Lauder to Longformacus (St John's Town of Dalry to Sanquhar to Wanlockhead is the next bit on our rather topsey-turvey itinerary).
Brilliant sunshine from start to finish. Light breeze. Silence apart from us and the birds: curlews, peewits, meadow pipits, larks, wagtails, oyster catchers, grouse, plovers. Saw crows, herons, buzzard, geese.
One of the group regretted not bringing her shorts.
