Sunday morning hush

Moretonhampstead Sunday morning is a very low key affair. The church clock shows 9.50am on the first day of British Summer Time for this year. Service at 11am.

The newsagents are open for papers but have to compete with the co-op across the road which are open all day and also sell news papers.

People make their ways in ones and two's to get milk and bread and sundry items
while the shop staff take the opportunity to re-stock shelves and wait for the rush hour that really never happens here on Sundays.
