Nether Edge market, Sheffield

A farmer's market is held once a quarter in in the leafy Sheffield suburb of Nether Edge. The market has a reputation for good weather whatever the season and this year's spring market was no exception, with the city's highest temperature of the year being recorded on market day.

Roads are closed and stalls replace parked cars as local food producers and artists ply their wares. Here a skiffle band add to the event by providing background music for shoppers and stall holders.
