Odd couple

Headed for the west coast today. Managed to avoid the nest of politicians encamped in Troon and pitched up at mum and dad's for lunch.

The afternoon was spent, partly in Rozelle and partly at the Doon estuary. I wandered down onto the beach while mum and the man watched me from the bridge. These two were doing all the mirroring that you normally see between birds of the same species. Either the swan (a young male) was a bit confused, or the goose had a real identity crisis thing going on. An odd pair indeed!
