A magical crystal seed of a day!

It began auspiciously with Mike winning his malachite brain on eBay, and continued on in that vein. Despite Im's protestations about the rock and gem show, and promises to remain in the car reading, it was a great success!

- One of us spent her $5 on a rose quartz loveheart and managed to wheedle a dalmatian pebble, "crystal" puppy dog, and flower glass ornament

- One of us was gifted various enticing minerals and managed to establish the germs of an impressive mineral collection with his $5 (complemented by a memorial Bradman 20c coin)

- One of us supplemented the above-mentioned malachite brain with an impressive piece of fool's gold

- One of us felt entitled to finally spoiling herself with blipmership, her family having failed to percieve the hints occasioned by her birthday ;)

Our consumer high was followed up with a very delicious yum cha in Dickson, a successful trip to the library (even for L), and a visit from the beloved local aunt. Pleasure could even be found in the ironing and the opening of the AFL season.

And tomorrow promises even greater things with a family reunion in Bundanoon ...
