Helter-skelter

Having faith.

What a day!

After completing several errands - and my sewing lesson - this morning, I hot-footed it to school. The children were taking part in a sponsored 'Wellie Walk' to the village monastery and back in aid of Sport Relief and I'd promised my daughter I'd go with her. This is the chapel, one of the many buildings nestled in the woods.

Although some of the monastery residents came out to greet the children in the morning, by the afternoon they'd gone in. So, unfortunately, no monks for today's blip but guess what? I'VE GOT AN INTERVIEW NEXT WEEK! I knew if I had a good moan it would all work out fine.

I also received a couple of really terrific booklets from the Open University's careers advisors which are full of useful information and advice, especially on dealing with interviews. After spending some time reading through it all I had my husband do a mock interview with me as he has a lot of experience with recruiting staff. Apparently I came across as a bit of a 'dork'. So much for 'constructive criticism'!
