The scratch is the worst part

I gave blood today. Before, I would have cried and refused when anyone came to take blood or give me an injection. Then I had an ectopic pregnancy and had to give blood samples every week for 12 weeks and as I'm rhesus negative, I have to have an injection before and after every birth. It was a bit of an epiphany moment. I thought if children could sit for hours on dialysis machines then I need to grow up a bit.
