The Waiting Room
Mother Comfort, the Sheepish Contraptioneer and the Innkeepers Wife sat quietly waiting for a scheduled check up to see how Mother Comfort was getting along. Not very exciting until this little treasure showed up with her daddy! Now, we haven't seen her dad in awhile and I saw him first but didn't place him immediately. I just knew I recognized him and he was a dear friend, but at the moment I had him mixed up with another friend of ours. Just as I stood to say hi, this little urchin wrapped her arms around me for a big hug and looked up, flashed a grin and spreading sunshine all through my heart.
While they visited for a few minutes, of course, the camera jumped fell climbed out of my purse and started taking pictures of her. Next thing I know (and I should have expected it because the last time I sat next to her with my camera it climbed into her hands then too) my camera had crept into her little hands and started pushing her giggle button.
Remembering my old camera was still in my purse and a bit lighter than the new one, I pulled the old camera out and traded her. After a few shots of this and that (and of course several of her feet and her daddy) she looked at me with this grin and said, "let's take a picture of each other taking a picture", which, of course, we did...
