Renewed

I love my husband's ways. Daily, it seems, when I'm tempted to feel lost and unsure about the next steps toward dismantling the former world of Mother Comfort and merging her world with our world, I am encouraged by my husband's faith and courage.

Every day, we all have the opportunity to be renewed. Every morning, we're given the gift of new mercies, new opportunities to look up, to seek the Face of God, to know His ways, to be hungry for the very best He has to offer and to wait on Him for refreshment and a renewing of our minds.

One of those days, when I wasn't sure what to do next, my husband did just the right thing in response to his simple faith and the continual stream of hope that he finds when he awakes every morning and seeks refreshment in his heart. He brought Mother Comfort's windmill home.

Of course. Every day, there is something new that challenges and inspires us. And now, every day, the wind blows and the bright colors spin and the movement is a dance filled with hope and inspiring courage.

I never expected to do this in my lifetime. I sort of thought I wasn't grown up enough. But it's going OK. Every day, a tiny piece of the puzzle falls into place. Some days, it doesn't seem like much, but one day all the gears will drop into place and the entire thing will be set in motion.
