Sunshine on Leith

It was a lovely day but I was confined to the laptop for most of the day. How irritating to find, just before I signed out, a message thanking me for agreeing to attend a workshop next Monday which I'd never been invited to.....they even sent me a timetable and preparation work to do. 'Join us for a light breakfast' indeed. Happily I shall be elsewhere.

So just blipped this from a landing window. The silver birch tree is where the crows made their nest last year, but since it blew down in the gales they haven't returned. Although I have noticed them hanging around the square recently, possibly eyeing up the magpies' nest which is in a more sheltered spot. The Leith front in the corvid wars may soon open up.
