Memorial

We drove around today, going to Port William, Port Logan and Port Patrick. We also passed through many small villages, the names of which were familiar to me from my childhood.
We also visited Whithorn and the Isle of Whithorn, which is where St. Ninian's church is.
This memorial is to the men lost on the fishing boat, the "Solway Harvester", off the Isle of Man, in January 2000. The men came from this village and the whole community was devastated by the tragedy. It was especially meaningful to us, as my sister-in-law was related to 3 of the men.
