Duck kcxs and cover Duck kcxs and cover

Every now and then, Madame has to participate in a nearly new sale selling and buying kids clothes and toys and the like, well she doesn't have to, she actually chooses to. Such events are all the rage they say. Such it was today as she went early to lend a hand. All the rage they might be, it sounds like this style of event's popularity might well be having an adverse effect on this specific one's popularity.

I guess it is all a question of choice, whether or not one decides to only get the best brand new stuff for one's children, I read recently that the first year of a child's life will cost the parents upwards of £9000. We choose to try to limit the pain and rather than throwing stuff out, pass it on to either people willing to pay for unwanted and unused toys etc before passing it on to a variety of charity shops or friends with children. Often friends with children are in the same landfill/toy surplus which half of the UK seems to be in. I am often really shocked to see what people choose to throw out rather than passing it on to some charity. In fact really shocked is a major understatement.

So today we wandered to the duck pond, soaking up sunlight, standing in the warmth and it was delightful.

In the afternoon, it was lawn forking, to try to let the grass breathe somewhat and the construction of a picnic bench, acquired half price during the winter months from Acme DIY stores. The number one son seemed very impressed with it and quickly tried to climb on top of it. Now that was not the plan....
