Brittany oysters with Louis, Elodie and mom

I'm now staying with mother hosts in "Little Africa". It feels more like Senegal or Cote D'vore here than Paris...which is kind of amazing, as are my hosts Elodie, Louis, and Basil, the 2 year old.

This evening Elodie's mom came over and brought fresh oysters from Brittany near her village. So we ate raw oysters with lemons and dry white wine, then baguettes and cheeses, and some middle eastern deserts I brought with mint tea. I've definitely been enjoying the food culture and eating a lot :)

Tomorrow they leave for a weekend trip and I have a new host to figure out. Paris is elegant, interesting, and beautiful - though I'm overwhelmed and ready soon for the country.
