Memorial

I have run past this monument many times, though always on the far side of the road. The monument sits in the grounds of the Falkirk Fire Brigade headquarters in Maddiston, and I often wondered which brave fire fighters were being honoured by the memorial.

So today I decided to go and take a picture of it.... and as it turns out it's not a memorial to firemen at all... it's a memorial to a shop!
