To remember

A toddle into town at lunchtime drew me to St Mary's churchyard, entering by a side gate I had never noticed before. Just a few steps in and I noticed this wooden plaque amongst all the headstones. It read:

Arthur Ian
dearly beloved son
of
Lilian and Donald McBride
Chorister of St Mary's
Aged 14 years
Called to God's
heavenly choir
13th Mar 1955

Or at least I think that was what the date said - it was not terribly clear. I can only hope that by blipping this now forlorn little plaque I can help preserve the words and memory before the elements take their toll on the wood any further.
