Camellia

I was given this camellia many years ago as a sort of housewarming gift. It's had a hard time of it since then and has been dug up each time I moved. By the time it arrived here it was pretty sickly but some TLC and stability has paid off. This year it looks stronger than ever and it is covered in plump, promising buds. There are two lovey flowers fully out and here is one of them. I am hoping that soon the whole bush will be covered in blooms.

The film last night, 'The Artist', was excellent. It was an inspired concept to think of making a silent film in the first place. The casting was perfect and included a small Jack Russell dog that all but stole the show. It was beautifully shot and full of style capturing the era and telling a story in a very entertaining way.
