Ready .... steady .... go-ooo!

I thought I was going to struggle to get Ethan off to nursery on time this morning. When I asked him if he wanted to go to nursery today he said "no" and proceeded to play with his Hot Wheels cars! This track and car is the latest toy addition to our household - something hubbie has been wanting to buy "for Ethan" for ages now! Ethan kept shouting "ready, steady, go" before launching the car down the track today - I didn't even know he knew that phrase!

He seemed really cheerful this morning so I got a real fright when hubbie phoned me whilst I was driving home to say he'd just picked Ethan up from nursery and was heading straight to an emergency doctors appointment. The staff at nursery had been on the verge of phoning us but knew Ethan usually got picked up soon so hadn't. But he had suddenly zoned out and went into a hypnotic like trance and hubbie said when he got there, Ethan's eyes just started rolling back in his head. Very scary. I'm still unclear as to what had caused that but the doctor confirmed he has a chest infection so has prescribed some antibiotics. Poor thing.
