Bertie County, NC

Took a drive from Durham to Windsor to come visit Emily/Matt at Bertie High School and check out their stuff at Project H. I definitely fell in love with the place after only an hour of talking to all the kids and helping with their recent projects. Basically, the students were paired to put together new design ideas to create a farmers stand in the county (goes along with the new market they built recently). Saw lots of material geometries inspiration on the wall and offered to explain the thought process behind iwamoto's course + that project (the SciArc Voussoir Cloud...this class seems to be popping up alot in regards to design-build). I immediately realized that I needed to stay longer than the one day and extended the car rental. Emily and Matt were very welcoming and excited to have a design critic for Thursdays presentations and a few of the student's projects will be chosen Thursday to have a chance to become the semester build project.

Also, staying in the most beautiful 1780 home! Had to add this...mom you would be in love! haha :)
