Selling the Soil

I was out most of the day on a recce for the Alpaca Walk in the Spring Festival. An alpaca blip was on the cards.

This evening I went to see the première of a film called Selling the Soil (The Story of Farmers' Markets). This has been a big community project involving people of all ages. Children have been learning about what can be grown and sourced locally. Adults were filmed as they visited the markets. Most of the filming was in Greenhead Farmers' Market, which is my local one. I was in the film for all of 10 seconds!

When I came to photograph the poster from the film, I included the photo of my friend SP being interviewed. I had to be reminded that this was my own photograph!!

We had a supper made by regular stall holders at the market and a jolly evening was had by all.

NB No border has been added. The blue is the colour of the display board
NB 2 I did notice the lack of an apostrophe and added it in my account.
NB 3 Before you ask, we do not source our bananas locally in Northumberland!
