Al Fateh Mosque

For some reason I have been holed up in the flat all day and - wonder of wonders - I hadn't even taken one picture today. So when my husband came home we went for a quick stroll up the road (well he thought it was going to be a quick stroll) but with me armed with camera that wasn't to be. We landed up at the Mosque and even though I hadn't taken a tripod I decided to take some night shots anyway. There were big preparations on the go with huge speakers being put in place for the big 'sit-in' expected to take place on Friday (the Muslim's Holy Day) all part of the means of trying to bring about peace in Bahrain. I won't be around but I'm sure that traffic's going to be a nightmare - these sort of things seem to attract as many as 30 000 people! After looking at the chaos in Syria one can only hope that a solution can be reached soon.
