Today's the day ............................ for spring blossom

I'm up in Edinburgh for a few days and this morning I was out looking round Mum's garden to see how things were coming on.

There's no doubt that things are more advanced up here than with us - even a few tulips out in the tubs. This azalea is always one of the first shrubs to flower in this garden and it was looking very beautiful with its delicate lilac-pink blossom in full profusion.

It made me remember the time when I went out to take a picture of it last year. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture this instead ..................
