Leaf on the stream

We packed the car up with all the gear you could ever want, walking poles, crampons, ice axe, full water proofs and headed of to Wales for a get together with the Kilimanjaro crowd.

Four hour drive and some very frustrating drivers and roadworks and we were there. Betws y Coed, what a lovely place. We soon met up with one lot and while my lovely lady was studying we set off for a little walk.

I was in heaven, forests, fast running rivers, birds singing, the smell of the earth and catching up with old friends. We headed for the waterfalls up the river and after some nice meandering and laughs we stood in front of a really lovely scene. Nature is so wonderful, truly breathtaking!

As the light was fading we headed back.

By the time we got back to the hotel everybody else had turned up and the fun began. I don't need to go over the details, we had a great time catching up, big smiles all round, big hangovers for some the next morning.......
