Bath by night

Definitely best large!

An easy start to the day to catch up with missed sleep during the week, and some final tidying up after the splashing around to get yesterday's blip.

Headed over to Bath to do a bit of shopping and have a general poke around the shops. Bath really is a lovely place; loads of character, good shops and made up of loads of little streets to explore. Why do people prefer these horrible modern shopping centres?

After the shopping was over I grabbed my camera from the car to see what I could find. My first attempt was looking to the town from the river. Although OK, not really what I was looking for. You can see it here.

Went into the town centre and ended up in the area around the abbey. This shot was taken from by the royal pump rooms. There were still quite a few people around, but creating a HDR from 3 images of ~15s and they disappeared quite nicely.

I guess that the abbey hits my theme for the day of history, but it's a bit tenuous... Trees tomorrow.
