Planting some seeds

No 1 (and only) son had to eat his break time apple right down to the core today as some mean teacher wouldn't let the kids get up to go to the bin to put the waste in.

So he came home with 3 closely guarded seeds and asked if he could plant them. It led to a discussion between us that somewhere in Bishopbriggs there's a house with an apple tree in the back garden which his grandpa planted sometime between 1964 and 1969. Wonder if it's really still there? Can still taste the sour little apples it used to produce.
