My Town
Bridlington town always looks so quaint from this vantage point. A cluster of houses and businesses kept safe from the sea in the embracing arms of the harbour walls.
It's been hit hard by the current economic climate, as have many places, but the townsfolk keep fighting and trying to keep up the appeal of coming to visit this lovely part of the coast.
The town centre is showing the signs of recession, but the thing that never will is Bridlington's beaches. South Beach particularly has the softest sand and most expansive bay that I've come across...and I've been to many places in England.
North Beach is different again and has wonderful views towards a chalky coastline that can be evidenced on the beach. Two complete contrasting beaches either side of the harbour walls with the town between.
I do love my town and coastline and would encourage anyone to have a holiday here.
That said, I'm now on holiday until the 20th March and will be spending a week in Whitby from tomorrow...fabulous in a totally different way and only 37 miles away! =D
