Nature day after day

We have several of these birds in the garden singing and courtship displaying. These rather unobtrusive, mouse-like birds creep around on the ground looking for food and the old country name for them is Hedge Sparrow as they do have the same streaky brown back and grey feathers like those more familiar birds. They're actually nearer in relation to the Robin than to the sparrows, however ;)
