The Long Drop
The final view of the new latrine. Levelled up, the decking & tree trunks set the base for the soon to be built wall panels & roof. Tom's trenching tool ensured that the hole was 9' or so deep - large enough for much future use. Beautiful soil top to bottom too - all the land has exploded with biodiversity over the last year. Hardly any insects previously - we spotted shrews, voles, traces of fox, rabbit & badger. The worms are everywhere & even saw a Red Admiral flitting. All eclipsed by the bird life of course.
