Porthill Bridge

An early morning detour this morning took me over Porthill footbridge into the Quarry Park. This particular bridge is going to be closed on Monday for about four months for a major renovation programme (hence the green wrapping), so I thought I'd take the chance to go that way while I could. Apparently there will be a passenger ferry running as a replacement, at a cost of 50p a go and taking 12 passengers at a time; not sure if that includes dogs, who are regular users of the bridge as you can see. If the ferry plan goes ahead I'm sure it will make a blip in its own right at some point.
