Embroidery

Spent the afternoon working on some test bits for a sewing project requested by a dear friend. Sadly, she has vastly overestimated my sewing skills (as I feared) and I won't be able to create the thing she wanted. I'm sad as it would have been an honour. Oh well. Perhaps she'll ask me to make something I find easy - like knit some socks or crochet a blanket instead......you never know.

Went for a run this morning, then to Kingston to get the bits for this sewing. Katy came to see Al after school and while she was here I put the children's Shepherd's Pie in the oven but was so engrossed in my failing sewing I forgot to turn it on.

Have a massive headache as I somehow also forgot to have lunch. That is so unlike me that along with forgetting about the oven I can only assume I'm getting old. Getting!
