Backblip Honeymoon day 2:

First stop Las Vegas. We were very jet-lagged but decided to get up and about to explore on our first full day. Made the fatal error of splashing out on an all you can eat champagne brunch. Not a good idea. Had to retire to our hotel for a recovery nap afterwards feeling bloated and a little merry!

This is where we stayed, our room was at the top of the tower to the right of the loop-the-loop. It's called New York, New York - for obvious reasons. It's the epitome of Vegas craziness, rollercoaster, indoor New York streets, a replica Brooklyn Bridge. Room was great. We had a view out over the Statue of Liberty and across to the MGM Grand and Excalibur - more examples of crazy Vegas hotels.

The Strip is incredible, the scale is unbelievable. A must see.

Went to see Motley Crue that night on the last date of their Vegas residency/world tour. More madness. A superb gig which LH thinks even RH managed to enjoy... Despite there being superb photos of the Crue, we felt you could see them here, whereas its not everyday you can view a ludicrously large hotel shaped as the centre of a major city.
