Heron Portrait

Another day of glorious sunshine and unfortunately I was working! Managed to get out for a walk and a paddle at lunch time. The sunlight was so uplifting, we have had too much grey and gloomy weather this winter! Just to sit on the pebbles, feet in the water and watch swans, oyster catchers, gulls and cormorants, with the sun on my face and rather white legs, feeling very blessed !
This heron was rather cheekily perched on the fish delivery van and was engaged in much post lunch preening! Such a magnificent bird and very confident around humans.
