Library Shifts and Little Boys With Brown Eyes

Dear Heart,
Chez Slug visited Milgi's, and I downed my hot chocolate and orange as fast as I could, in the hope that we could leave quickly. Sophie sewed silently, Millie took a corner seat and looked thoroughly displeased with everything, and I tried my best to look happy at Connect 4 with Emma.
Now I'm alone on my patchwork quilt, watching Upstairs Downstairs and pretending I am Claire Foy.
