A murder of crows!!
Why a murder of crows I hear you ask (I can hear them talking about me), the meaning being lost in the mist's of time.
The earliest mention of a group of crows (around 1400) that exists refers to them as a "murther of crows", but it's not assumed that it translate's literally as a murder.
It's generally thought now that the saying is almost entirely poetic, the crow always thought to be an agressive bird (which it is not really) and with it's black plumeage gives our poetic homeboys a "licence to kill".
Finally if crows haunt your garden they are very hard to shift, a plastic Owl is the best tip, I assume you can buy one from www.plasticowlsareus.co.uk, and if you can't get one dont crow about it.
