Tom's first born!

On the most inauspicious morning, cold and sleety, I had two lovely encounters

1) I learned almost everything I know about birds from my lovely birdwatching friend, Tom. Whenever in spring we went through Hag wood he would say 'maybe we will put up a woodcock' Today the dogs and I PUT UP A WOODCOCK!

2) Met Tom at the gate having just delivered his first 2 lambs ever - as proud as any townie farmer wannabe! Congratulations!
