The Tap

A stopping off point for bikers on their way to and from the TT, providing they can find it. :)

For me it is a place where I used to go back in the 80's. I even almost got to co manage it at one time.

I remember it as it was with the lightbulbs hanging out of the wall on a wire, the scent of cannabis in the air although I honestly never tried any myself. I've never even tried smoking full stop, ever.

I was more your hippy chick away with the fairies kind of biker girl.

Another memory is of a biker going down on his knees to present me with a rose. Of being taken the you-know-what out of for my Status Quo badge on my leathers. Of the changes made when it got updated in the 80's and playing Dean Friedman's songs on the juke box. Especially this one.

Nowadays I go down there in good weather and look for signs of people I once knew returning once again themselves to try and recapture a moment.
