These two woodcarvings are from Oberammergau in southern Germany. I bought the boy in the year 2000 whilst attending the famous religeous play that is performed there every ten years. Then in 2010 I returned to see the play again and found the same woodcarver and bought the girl. . This area of the Alps is renown for the quality of their work.
