Mersey memories

On our visit to Gallery 1 on Saturday, Chris bought himself a lovely print of a German Shepherd puppy. As it`s my birthday on Saturday he asked me if there was anything I would like so I chose this one of the `Arnet Robinson` aka the Mersey Pilot Boat.
Built in 1958, just over 54 metres in length and 10 metres breadth, she is pictured here in mid river with Rea and Alexandra tugs at the Wallasey Ferry stage and the Birkenhead Ferry `Thurstaston`.
I`m just amazed that it`s still going strong 54 years on
