leap duck...

...was being played at the local lake today -

by all kinds of duck...

it reminded me of the game leapfrog... remember? played when we were kids? where we'd all line up - then vault over each others stooped backs - i don't claim to understand what the point of the game ever was... but - -

upon seeing this duck flying over the other duck... sitting in that water - all still and prepared... it just reminded me of that game... seemed a perfect formation set-up... don't you think?

and though i stood in conditions enduring billowing winds, snow, sun and some spitting rain... my fine feathered friends didn't mind one iota... so neither did i - it made for...
